"Those who wish to sing, always find a song."Swedish Proverb
Hilde De Clercq is a Belgian singer, percussionist and radio programmer, who worked together with different Arab and Turkish musicians. In this project, she returned to her first musical love, the piano. She created arrangements of several Turkish songs, and she made her own compositions, using all of the musical impressions that came across her path, from Western classical music to eastern scales. In search of similarities, and using the contrasts, she created her own musical world in which she loves to take you around for a journey. Sometimes nostalgic, sometimes archly or rebellious, but always with some words of guidance.
This project is very suitable for a living room concert. Do you have a tuned piano in your living room, and would you like to organize a concert? Please don’t hesitate to contact us.
If you’re living in Ghent, you can even contact the city of Ghent for subventions via ‘Artiest zoekt Feestneus’, the concert will be for free then. For the period August 1st 2016 to June 30th 2017, this project is in the list of artists of the City of Ghent.
